How many of us get excited when we see a fixed price outlet in Malaysia. Everything at RM XX. Worth it, right? Well, think again. Not everything on the shelves is worth buying. It is therefore important to be smart when going to fixed price outlets.
To buy
- Foldable see-through food covers
Have you ever thought of getting see-through food covers? They are also foldable so that they won’t take up so much space. The main reason is not to let pesky flies rest on your food. You wouldn’t want to end up with food poisoning. - Mini-umbrella hangers
Wish to put some small items to dry? Why not purchase a mini-umbrella hanger. Not only are they affordable, they are also foldable. - Charcoal liner for shoe racks/cabinets/kitchen shelves
My mum bought the charcoal liner to get rid of odour from shoes. According to her, it is brilliant and effective! Go give it a try You could also line your kitchen shelves and cabinets. Say hello to odourless closed spaces. - Bookends
Bookends sold at fixed price outlets are more colourful and come with more variety and styles. I know that some of you might think that they are easily available at bookstores. However, design-wise, I’d prefer to get some of my bookends from fixed price outlets. - Bodkins
When I first saw the sewing-related tool, I went ‘What?’ Given the scarcity of shops that sell sewing tools, you’d be happy to find them in fixed price outlets. - Wall clocks
I was very surprised when my mother told me that she bought wall clocks from a fixed price outlet. My mum said that it isn’t easy to find cheap clocks these days. Do note though you’d not want to give away clocks to someone as a gift as it is considered a taboo by the Chinese.
You may browse through the following:
- Skincare products
You might want to be careful when purchasing skincare products from fixed price outlets because not all of them are legitimate. In addition, these skincare products may result in an allergic reaction. Large skincare and cosmetics companies price their items on the higher end because they mainly use approved products and are required to comply with strict safety regulations. This is unless of course you’re looking for something you’d use one off. Remember these are personal hygiene products. - Long-lasting nail clippers
Unless you’re looking for fancy nail clippers, please do not buy any from outlets like these. Product offering-wise, it’s better to buy nail clippers from reputable pharmacies or personal care stores. - Handwash
You wouldn’t want to purchase handwash from fixed price outlets. This is simply because handwash is worth buying elsewhere. - Mugs
Forget about buying mugs from these outlets because they are of less exciting designs. If you’re a fan of mugs like my dad, please get them from elsewhere. - Transparent motion water
At first glance, this looks colourful. It is also something you’d play with when you have too much time on your hands. However, after buying, you’d feel a sense of regret. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!
